The EVO 100 Phonostage brings PrimaLuna’s meticulous engineering to a standalone phonostage that is thoughtful, intuitive, and simple to use.

The EVO 100 Phonostage supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. The MM stage offers two capacitance settings, while the MC stage offers three gain settings and five input impedance settings. Mechanical decoupling of the MC board helps protect its delicate signals.

The EVO 100 Phonostage is PrimaLuna through and through, with a massive custom power transformer and full protection. Its heavy gauge steel chassis features PrimaLuna’s deep, glassy five-coat finish, with each coat hand-rubbed and polished.

Inside, high-quality components are connected using point-to-point wiring. The parts list is familiar to any PrimaLuna fan: ceramic tube sockets, Nichicon and DuRoch capacitors, and gold-plated connectors.

All-Tube Glory

As you’d expect from PrimaLuna, the EVO 100 Phonostage uses two 5AR4 tubes for rectification. Two EL34 tubes stabilize the power supply, while four 12AX7 tubes provide gain for the MM section and two additional 12AX7 tubes provide gain for the MC section.
